CSARN Research Fellowships for Women 2025 applications are open now!!!
The CSARN Research Fellowships for Women strengthen research capacity and leadership among emerging women scholars from Chin State and surrounding regions. The programme supports fellows to develop independent, community-relevant research, build technical and analytical skills, and engage in national and international academic conversations. Through training, mentoring, and peer exchange, the fellowship fosters a new generation of women researchers contributing to locally grounded knowledge and decision-making.
We support local scholars, graduate students, and researchers in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences for research proposal development, thesis writing, and studying abroad.
We support foreign scholars, students, or researchers who are planning to spend time in Chin State and surrounding areas for research projects or PhD fieldwork.
We provide consultancy and advisory services to organizations, educational establishments, and funding institutes engaged in projects that focus on Chin State and surrounding areas (ie. including Sagaing Division, Northern Rakhine, Mizoram, Nagaland, etc.) Consultancy Services.
We implement locally rooted programmes to improve access to education for children in Chin State. These focus on strengthening school and teacher capacity, and on providing direct learning support for children in difficult circumstances. Our goal is to ensure that all children, regardless of background, can access quality education.
Through CSARN, our interdisciplinary platform for sharing high-quality research on Chin State and its borderlands, we support and connect local and international researchers and students working in this field. We actively seek out and create opportunities for scholars working in this field to share and present their work at international conferences, and focus on supporting emerging local scholars to craft their research papers and proposals through volunteer peer review buddy-systems and editorial services.
TheHILLS Scholarship Fund supports talented and motivated students from Chin State to pursue higher education. The scholarship is open to high school graduates who wish to study the Arts, Humanities, or Social Sciences at Kalay University. We especially encourage applications from students from disadvantaged backgrounds or those whose parents did not attend university. [on hold since 2021]
