TheHILLS Myanmar (THM) is recognised for its core expertise in strategic analysis, contextual research, and policy insight. Our work contributes to high-level thinking on Chin State and the surrounding region through thematic studies, policy briefs, humanitarian updates, and continuous field-informed analysis. We are particularly known for our strengths in gender-sensitive approaches and the integration of Do No Harm principles into programme design and implementation.
Organisations, educational institutions, and development partners regularly collaborate with THM to strengthen the quality and relevance of their programming. We support humanitarian advocacy strategies, advise on ethical research and communications, and provide technical input across a range of policy and implementation areas.
Alongside this, we remain committed to cultivating local knowledge and academic leadership. We offer pro bono support to students, researchers, and early-career scholars, including mentoring on research design, thesis development, proposal writing, and international applications. We also share context expertise with international researchers who are planning to engage with Chin State and neighbouring regions. (Note: fieldwork support remains on hold since 2021.)
